Fever

Is a fever bad for us?

The fever plays on our side. It is part of our team. When we have a fever, it means that our body is fighting against an intruder.

When a part of our brain called the hypothalamus detects that a microbe which can cause infections and make us sick is inside us, it becomes alert. The hypothalamus orders our body to raise our temperature.

Therefore, we can say that the fever is our ally to defeat an illness.
